Rotax Power and Rider-Focused Technology

Power comes from a liquid-cooled 998 cc Rotax V-twin engine. For 2012, the Spyder RT was offered with either a five-speed manual transmission or an available five-speed semi-automatic transmission; both include reverse for easier low-speed manoeuvring. The semi-automatic version uses handlebar-mounted shifting, eliminating the need for a conventional clutch lever.

Can-Am’s Vehicle Stability System integrates anti-lock braking, traction control and stability control. Dynamic power steering varies assistance according to speed and steering input, helping keep parking-lot movements manageable while providing a more direct feel on the road.
